“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them”.

Trauma Informed Mental Healthcare
My approach to therapy stems from my core belief that we are all wired for connection and that forming and maintaining strong relationships can allow us to live healthy lives. Our nervous systems are hardwired to be in a place of calm and connection, but can sometimes get off kilter as we move through life and experience challenging situations and relationships. At times we need additional support to reset our systems and challenge the negative beliefs and narratives we create over time.
Therapy is deeply vulnerable work, but by building trust in the therapeutic relationship we can explore and identify automatic patterns and habits that may be keeping you from feeling your best and work together to practice new ways of living. In my work, I pull from a variety of theoretical approaches including Brainspotting, EMDR, CBT, Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Mindfulness Based practices.
